- ***NEW THIS YEAR*** Faculty Research Collaborative, Thursday, Aug. 28, 2-3:15 pm in RSC 262 (Herrman Room)
- Spearheaded by Philosophy Associate Professor Susan Castro and Biomedical Engineering Professor Nils Hakannson, this faculty club seeks to build an interdisciplinary research culture at WSU.
- At each monthly meeting, you will hear briefly from 2-3 colleagues about research projects for which they're seeking collaborators. All participants will lend their disciplinary lenses to the discussion to strengthen the project and provide assistance with networking.
- Pre-Tenure Club with Gery Markova - Sept. 9, 12:30-1:45 pm, in RSC 261 (Olive Room)
- Bring your tenure and promotion questions, and get guidance from Gery on preparing for process.

- Faculty Exchanges include a component of professional development mixed with plenty of space for intentional socialization and networking among faculty.

- Shocker Teaching Community of Practice: Meets on the last Wednesday of the month
- The Shocker Teaching Community of Practice is available for all who teach at WSU. This group, rooted in the Student Experience Project created by the Association of Public & Land-Grant Universities and the Coalition of Urban-Serving Universities, provides a monthly gathering space for community members to learn about, implement and reflect on the core components of student success that can be implemented in teaching practices.

- Join Fran Cook, CRA, Trainer from the Wichita State Office of Research, who will host a virtual workshop explaining the role of a sponsored projects / research office, WSU Office of Research contacts and resources, and WSU policies and procedures related to externally sponsored funding. The workshop will be held via Microsoft Teams with lots of time for practical application and discussion.
