At Wichita State University, College of Engineering, students are able to keep up with the latest developments in their fields'. Engineering faculty members direct research and development programs which involve undergraduate as well as graduate students in local and nationally sponsored projects, which have received wide recognition. The National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) conducts research projects for government and industry, and provides access to research facilities by engineering faculty and students. The College of Engineering at Wichita State is well equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. Students are required to take laboratory-oriented courses in their programs of study.
