You will find opportunities to apply a sociological lens to the analysis of social problems and be more engaged inside and outside of the classroom. Our department houses two student organizations (Shocker Sociology Club and Alpha Kappa Delta International Honor Society) where you can participate in public sociology. Our department is also committed to applied learning and professional development so that our students can practice different research methods, present their research, and launch their careers.
