Dance BFA

A Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Performing Arts - Dance provides intensive professional training for those seeking careers in performance, choreography, education, creative leadership, wellness, and related fields. Through rigorous study in contemporary dance technique, performance, choreography, somatics, kinesiology, creative practice, and collaborative production, you will develop the artistry, versatility, and professional skills needed to thrive in an evolving dance profession.

You will engage in a scaffolded curriculum that integrates technical excellence, creative inquiry, embodied learning, and professional preparation. Through performance opportunities, community engagement, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration, you'll learn to create, perform, teach, and lead while building sustainable and adaptable careers in dance and related fields.

The Dance BFA prepares you to do more than perform. It prepares you to create, teach, collaborate, and lead. Through intensive dance training and the Performing Arts Core, you'll develop skills in performance, choreography, collaboration, production, digital marketing, entrepreneurship, community engagement, research, and ethical practice. You will learn to apply these skills through dance concerts, films, musicals, interdisciplinary productions, community projects, and creative research.
