Alex Michael Stoll
From Wichita State to the International Screen
The School of Performing Arts proudly highlights the ongoing achievements of alumnus Alex Michael Stoll, whose dynamic career continues to gain momentum across film, television, and live performance. A dedicated performer with a wide range of credits, Alex’s work reflects the strong artistic foundation he developed during his time at Wichita State.
Alex graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Dance. Durring his time at Wichita State, he worked with Music Theatre Wichita as a part of their resident ensemble in many shows including Sweet Charity, The Wizard of Oz, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The Full Monty and many more.
Alex has been everywhere from Pennsylvania to Japan performing with many different companies including Walnut Street Theatre Mainstage, Center Theater Group/Mark Taper Forum, Theatre Under the Stars, Paper Mill Playhouse, and The John W. Engeman Theater at Northport. Alex eventually settled down in New York and started his Broadway career. There he found himself working on many Broadway productions such as Evita, Spiderman:Turn Off The Dark, If/Then, American Psycho, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and even Pretty Woman: The Musical where he met his wife.
Most recently, Alex appears in the hit thriller series Red Eye, taking on the role of Agent Pete McQueen in Season 2. The series, known for its high-stakes storytelling and international intrigue, showcases Alex’s skill in bringing intensity and depth to complex characters. His involvement in this ITV drama marks another exciting milestone in a career that continues to expand across genres and platforms.
Alex’s growing list of professional credits reveals the breadth of his artistic capabilities. Over the years, he has contributed to numerous high-profile projects, including appearances in productions such as Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024), where he appeared as a TV interviewer, and earlier roles in series like FBI and the musical drama Smash. Other credits include The Agency (Season 2), Three Body Problem (Season 2), Wonka, and Clayface. His resume spans drama, comedy, musical theatre, and action - demonstrating the versatility that has become a hallmark of his career.
We celebrate Alex’s achievements with pride, knowing that his journey inspires current students to dream big and pursue their passion with purpose. As he continues to build an impressive career across stage and screen, we look forward to following the many exciting chapters still ahead.
