Madi White

Madi White is a full time fool, producer, and artist whose work lives at the intersection of physical theater, puppetry, and contemporary clowning. With over a decade of training under her belt, including studies with Frantic Assembly in London, Bread and Puppet, Celebration Barn Theatre, and Dell’Arte International, she brings serious craft to deeply unserious work.

She recently completed an artist residency at Château Orquevaux in France, where she further developed her solo show, The Free State, which has toured across the United States and Europe for the past two years. This summer, she performed at the Letní Letná New Theatre and Circus Festival in Prague with a puppet she hand carved, painted, and costumed under the direction of Mirek Trejtnar.

In spring 2027, Madi will debut Strix, a new clown and puppet show about a bird, a fool, and the strange and tender pursuit of transformation.

She is also the creator and producer of Clown Jam, a foolish variety show built to bring joy and original work to Wichita.
