Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)

The Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program allows you to receive forgiveness of the remaining balance of your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments while working full time for a qualifying employer.

The PSLF Program takes ten years of payments and employment. The loans you're paying on, how you pay them, and the work you do all play a part in determining whether you reach forgiveness.

SUSPENDERS4HOPE

Suspenders4hope

Inspired by beloved psychologists in the WSU Student Wellness Center, the Suspenders4Hope® program supports those experiencing mental health struggles the same way that suspenders support your pants. Whether it’s through learning how to talk about mental health, knowing what resources are available, or sharing your story, Suspenders4Hope®'s goal is to create positive changes in Wichita and beyond.

Wichita State University’s #WeSupportU Suspenders4Hope® campaign was founded on WSU’s campus in 2015 after receiving the SAMHA Campus Suicide Prevention grant. With its reach beyond just the university, the campaign has grown to include online and in-person evidence-based trainings, advocate programs, and additional resources such as Mental Wellness in the Classroom cards.
