CREJ report

The Governor’s Commission on Racial Equity and Justice (CREJ) came into existence on June 24, 2020. The intent was to study “issues of racial equity and justice across systems in Kansas,” with the first priority being a focus on policing and law enforcement. Recently CREJ started hosting a webinar series to review their work and discuss their recommendations with stakeholders in Kansas. Recommendations of the coalition could lead to local policy and systems changes for local government leaders.

We are expectant of change and growth in the coming year. At the same time, we look back on the year we’ve accomplished. The hardships, challenges, celebrations, and blessings.
