WSU 60+ Audit Program

Wichita State University welcomes lifelong learners! Students aged 60 or older may enroll as auditors (non-credit) in most academic credit courses, provided space is available.

Eligibility & Documentation
To verify eligibility, students must present a Medicare card or driver’s license at the time of registration.

Cost
Tuition and student fees are waived for auditors. However, students are responsible for any course-specific fees, such as:

  • Facilities use fees
  • Workshop fees
  • Lab or special course fees (when applicable)

Course Requirements
Auditing students must meet all course prerequisites and program requirements prior to registration.


Enrollment Process

New Students
If you have never enrolled at WSU, you must complete an Application for Admission and pay the application fee before registering.

  • Apply online or in person at the Office of Admissions on the main campus.

Returning Students
If you have not attended WSU in the past 24 months, you must complete a Reactivation of Former Student form.

  • Submit online at wichita.edu/reactivation or in person at the Registrar’s Office on the main campus.

Registration Timeline

  • Semester Courses: Registration begins the Thursday after classes start.
  • Presession Courses: Registration begins the Tuesday of Presession Week One.

Note: Registration is available at both the Registrar’s Office (main campus) and WSU West Campus.
