May 12, 2023 — Wichita State University's College of Health Professions and Ascension Via Christi's Wichita hospitals announced today the creation of a strategic initiative to provide a critical pipeline of qualified health care professionals to the region.

May 11, 2023 - Lucy Schneider, a sport management major, jumped into applied learning opportunities with Wichita State’s athletic department and will use those experiences as she pursues her master’s degree.

May 9, 2023 — Shocker graduate Alissa Haddock has spent her whole life battling liver disease. Now she has a Wichita State diploma and a new liver to help her start the next phase of her life.

May 5, 2023 — The state of Kansas has allocated $4.2 million from the state’s budget (House Bill 2184) to Wichita State for need-based aid.

Another artist who is visually impaired has their work on display at Woolsey Hall, the home of the W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University in partnership with the Envision Arts Program. Nick Wooding, who is also blind and uses a wheelchair, is the newest Barton School featured artist. His mixed media pieces can be found of the third floor of Woolsey Hall and can be viewed any time during operating hours.

May 4, 2023 - BioKansas, a non-profit focused on supporting the biosciences in Kansas and the surrounding region, aims to help students with writing and organizational skills. Five Wichita State students are participating in the year-long BioKansas Scientific Writing Scholars program.

May 4, 2023 — Ryan Walter says his applied learning opportunity at Deloitte's Smart Factory @ Wichita helped him create a connection between what he learned in the classroom and the real world.

Five Wichita State University Rudd Scholars will be pursuing a degree with the W. Frank Barton School of Business. The Rudd Scholarship, sponsored by the Rudd Foundation, provides each recipient with a full-ride scholarship, including tuition, fees and on-campus housing. Rudd Scholars are also provided with networking and coaching support throughout college.
