Aug. 28, 2019 -- Wichita State's efforts to recruit and retain students from historically under-served and under-represented areas haven't gone unnoticed. WSU has been named as a Social Mobility Innovator student success leader.

Aug. 26, 2019 - Pardhasai Chadalavada, a graduate student seeking a doctorate degree in aerospace engineering, and Atri Dutta, an assistant aerospace engineering professor, recently received a grant from NASA’s Earth and Space Science and Technology program.

Aug. 22, 2019 - It's a bird. It's a plane. No, It's a drone. WSU students Spencer Lueckenoito and Will Valentine found drone racing their freshman year of college and instantly it became a hobby. But, neither of them dreamed that their passion would lead to the co-founding of Drone club on Wichita State's campus.

Aug. 20, 2019 -- The first hotel on the Wichita State campus is beginning construction. A 106-room Hyatt Place hotel will break ground next week on Wichita State’s Innovation Campus, within walking distance of the new Fuzzy’s Tacos, the Shocker Store and Starbucks.

Aug. 16, 2019 - Kylie Cameron and Kevin Benavides worked summer internships at KMUW (89.1 FM). They reported and wrote stories for radio and the web on the Sedgwick County Fair, elections, Juneteenth and the anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. While they don’t perform on-air duties, they are expected to fill all of the other reporting tasks.

July 30, 2019 -- The owners of popular Wichita restaurant Malaysia Café have signed a lease to open a new Asian fusion concept, Journey East Asia Grill, in the Braeburn Square retail complex at Wichita State University.

July 30, 2019 -- Wichita State University and Textron Aviation, a Textron Inc. company, have announced the next step in ongoing collaboration efforts to develop the future of the aviation industry and next generation of employees when the company signed a long-term lease at the Wichita State Innovation Campus.

May 21, 2019 - Four Wichita State University aerospace engineering students have placed seventh in NASA’s Student Launch Initiative competition. The team designed, built and launched a rocket to complete a simulated Moon mission.
