Overview
Dr. James is a physical therapist with a board certification in pediatrics through
the American Physical Therapy Association’s Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
She provides clinical support for children with neurologic conditions and leads Wichita State University’s pediatric clinical faculty team and pediatric experiential
learning opportunities.
Dr. James earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from Baylor University
in 2013 and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Oklahoma Health
Sciences Center in 2016. She is currently enrolled in a PhD program at Rocky Mountain
University of Health Professions, where she is studying caregiver behavior and its
impact on therapy dosage for children with neurologic conditions

Dr. James is the vice chair of the Early Intervention Special Interest Group of the APTA, and provides national trainings related to coaching, natural learning environment practices, and motor learning for pediatric and adult patients.
