Ryan's background is in educational technology, with an emphasis in technology integration. He is currently serving as director of the Campus Media Services, including classroom technology support, live event audio and visual support, and classroom, conference room, meeting room, and collaboration space technology design and installation.

Ryan earned his Master of Science degree in Educational Technology (Technology Integration Specialization) in 2012. He is also an alumnus of the Wichita State University College of Fine Arts.


Jesse Balzer

Jesse has been involved in the audiovisual industry since 2012 where he started out helping setup classroom technology at his middle school during the summers. Jesse began doing live sound for theater, concerts, and churches in high school, and in college he continued supporting classroom technology and events at Bethel College. As the Audiovisual Engineer, Jesse designs and helps with the integration of classroom and event technology throughout campus. In his free time, Jesse enjoys working as a freelance Audio Engineer at recording studios and continues to do live sound for theater and concerts locally.

Randall Fooshee

Taylor Moore

After graduating with her Masters in 2015, Taylor began working as an Instructional Designer at the MRC, transitioning to Senior Educational Technologist in 2018. During her time as the Senior Ed. Tech, Taylor went on to earn her international PMP certification through the Project Management Institute, leading her to the current position of Project Manager at CMS since April 2021. As Project Manager, Taylor works on initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing projects. 

Tony Sanford

Media Production Technician

Owning a successful regional Event production company for many years, Tony’s skill set is well suited for his position as CMS Events Coordinator. He has extensive experience in planning for and providing Sound, Lighting, Video, Staging, as well as trained staffing for many large-scale local and regional events. His hands-on experience in the Digital platform has allowed the CMS Event team to stay current with technology. He is the CMS On-Site manager for Special Events and Conferences, both on and off campus. Tony also oversees the student labor force of CMS. Tony has been at WSU MRC CMS for 13+ years.

David Slaughter

Audio Visual Technician

David worked in the telecommunications and video industry for 16 years, working on business commercial (ip based phone systems, video solutions, internet service provider) accounts, before joing the CMS Team. He now provides a wide range of hands-on technical assistance in the operation of multimedia and distance education equipment, including resolving connectivity issues, troubleshooting audio visual equipment, and managing site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks; along with diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions.
