Students competing in the Shocktoberfest spirit competition have decorated banners celebrating Shocker Pride. Banners are on display around the interior of campus through Sunday, Oct. 6. Winning banners will be announced at Shocker Madness.
Door Decorations on Display

Cost: Free
Shocker themed doors decorated by individual faculty/staff, departments, and on-campus residents are on display around campus through Friday, October 4. Decorations celebrate Shocker pride with the vision of "Blast from the Past." Awards will be announced at Shocker Madness.

Shocktoberfest Kick-off
Monday, Sep. 29 | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
RSC North Patio
Cost: Free
Join your fellow Shockers to kick-off a week of celebration and Shocker Pride. The Shocktoberfest Kick-off event features music, food, activities, and giveaways. Students will receive a free Shocktoberfest T-Shirt while supplies last.

Braeburn Square
Cost: Free
Revel in the spirit of Shocktoberfest with WSU Cheer, Marching Band and a few of your favorite athletes. This event will be located in the lawn east of Braeburn Square near Oliver. Access the event from the bridge between Fuzzy's and Social Tap.

WuShock has reached another milestone in Shocker History! Celebrate Wu and 77 years of bringing Shockers together! Wu’s Birthday Bash features music, games, snacks, cake, and your chance to congratulate Wu in person! Wu will be present at Wu’s Birthday Bash from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Admission: Free to students w/ WSU ID; Faculty/Staff & General Public receive admission with three canned food items
The Roast livens up the heart of campus with music, food and games. Stop by for Roasted Corn with flavored butters, popcorn, and other corny treats. Students who check-in will be entered into a prize drawing. This event is free to WSU Students w/ ID. Faculty/Staff who are interested in attending will receive a food voucher in exchange for two canned food items to be donated to the Shocker Support Locker.

This special event is intended for graduates of the Manufacturing Engineering program and requires pre-registration.

John Bardo Center (JBC) Student Labs Tour:
- The John Bardo Center (JBC) opened in 2017 as the beginning of the Innovation Campus. The building includes a variety of labs accessible to students to work, explore, and innovate. Learn more about the space by visiting the John Bardo Center Homepage.
John Bardo Center (JBC) NIAR Labs & GoCreate Tour:
- JBC is home to several National Institute of Aviation (NIAR) Labs and the GoCreate community workspace. This tour will visit several NIAR labs showcasing work in extended reality, automation research, reverse engineering, and additive manufacturing. It will also include a visit to the GoCreate Koch Collaborative, which is a makerspace available for free to WSU and WSU Tech students and available to community members at a monthly membership fee. Honors Induction Ceremony

Enjoy an afternoon on-campus filled with beverages from your favorite local vendors. The Shocktoberfest Brew Garden + Fan Fest, in partnership with Shocker Athletics, will fill the alley and parking lot east of Koch Arena with music, breweries, food trucks and fun activities for the whole family!

Shocktoberfest Parade
Saturday, Oct. 4 | 4 p.m.
Cost: Free
Everyone is invited to attend the 2024 Shocktoberfest Parade, the highlight of the weeklong celebration of Shocker spirit and pride. Participants will enjoy entertainment from the Shocker Sound Machine marching band, dance teams, and decorated cars and floats from student groups and community members.
For the best parade experience, grab a spot along Innovation Blvd, Mike Oatman Dr., or Perimeter Rd. These locations offer great views and are easily accessible.
Shocker Madness
Saturday, Oct. 4 | 6:00 p.m. | Doors open at 5 p.m.
Charles Koch Arena
Cost: Free Admission; WSU Students enter at the Ticket Office
Shocker Madness concludes Shocktoberfest with awards, basketball scrimmages, Shocker Royalty announcements and a closing performance by Grammy Award winning artist Lupe Fiasco.
Fans are invited to a free evening of fun at Charles Koch Arena and a sneak preview of the WSU men's and women's basketball teams at WSU's annual Shocker Madness season kickoff event. The event will also include announcements for individual Shocktoberfest awards and the winning team over the overall trophy. Shocker Madness is a signature event of Shocktoberfest and you won't want to miss it!
A clear bag policy will be in effect. No tickets required. Admission is free.
