Sept. 21, 2022 — Brianna Smith, a computer engineering junior, is currently applying here student skills as a research analyst at FirePoint. She chose Wichita State because of the various applied learning opportunities available to help prepare her for her future career.

Sept. 21, 2022 - Alexander Sterzing is a member of Wichita State’s rowing team and involved in other activities such as the International Buddy Program and Christian Challenge. Alexander, from the Houston area, majors in aerospace engineering and works in the NASA Jump Start Program.

Tim Craft, Associate Professor at the Barton School of Business  at  Wichita State University and Director of the Koch Global Trading Center, was quoted in an story for KWCH Channel 12 News.

Sept. 19, 2022 - Wichita State shortstop Sydney McKinney is a softball All-American, artist, entrepreneur, and diligent brand manager for herself. When NCAA and college administrators conceived of NIL benefits – compensating student-athletes for their talent and time – McKinney is the perfect example of the intended outcome.

Sept. 15, 2022 — An interdisciplinary team of Wichita State University researchers is working to curb pollution and damage caused by road salt. The project — ECO-CBET: Convergent Electrolysis-Electrodialysis System (CEES) to Curb Urban Chloride Pollution by Eco-friendly Road Deicing and Waste Salt Upcycling — was recently awarded $1.4 million from the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Sept. 12, 2022 — After more than two years since expanding into the community, Wichita State’s #WeSupportU Suspenders4Hope program has continued opening its arms to local organizations including Ascension Via Christi, area high schools and now Wichita-based Thrive Restaurant Group.

Sept. 6, 2022 - Wichita State University’s College of Innovation and Design announces Dr. Ryan Amick as one of our Innovators in Residence for the 2022-2023 academic year. Amick, a Wichita State alumnus, is a principal human factors engineer at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

Sept. 2, 2022 — The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) announced today will award $51.4 million to Wichita State University to aid in the rapid development and adoption of emerging smart manufacturing technologies for South Kansas.
