Guest Artist: ALLISON CHOI BRAUN
The WSU Theatre Program was honored to host Los Angeles artist and costume and textile designer, Allison Choi Braun in February, 2016. While on campus, Braun gave a digital presentation to students about costume design for film, television, commercials, and theatre, as well as the different mediums she works in and what it takes to be a working free lance designer. She also implemented informational workshops with the AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Designers) students while at WSU.
Braun received her BFA from MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) in 2007 and shortly after moved to New York City, where she began designing for Vera Wang, Martha Stewart and later Calvin Klein, while continuing her costuming career. She currently works as a costume designer and stylist for television and film.
