Wichita State University - Musical Theatre Program Guest Artist: ANDREW LIPPA

The WSU Musical Theatre Program was honored to host award winning Broadway Composer Andrew Lippa in May 2015. WSU Music Theatre students with Broadway composer Andrew Lippa.

Lippa wrote the music and lyrics for Big Fish, which was staged by Music Theatre Wichita in July 2015, and included WSU's own Emily Vargo and Aaron Craven in the supporting cast, alum Madelynn Nevins as Assistant Lighting Designer and faculty David Neville as the Lighting Designer.

Music Theatre students were thrilled to be able to learn from him in Master Classes during his visit at WSU. In 2007, the School of Performing Arts Musical Theatre program staged, The Wild Party, (book, music, and lyrics written by Lippa, based on the poem by Joseph Moncure March).
