How to Apply for a Scholarship
Most university, college, and departmental scholarships will use the ScholarshipUniverse master application for the current academic year.
Applications open November 1, with deadlines posted within the system.
Step 1: Check Your Eligibility and Complete a FAFSA
- Be a current or intended CHP major
- Both newly accepted and current MLS students are eligible to apply
- Have a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on file

Step 2: Read Requirements and Prepare Your Documents
- Read the scholarship submission requirements for specific essays and other required documents, as additional information is required for certain awards.

- Answer matching questions in ScholarshipUniverse
- Review and apply to matched scholarships
