March 22, 2023 – Wichita State University nursing students on the WSU main campus and Kansas State University campus celebrated their Nightingale Nursing Commitment Ceremonies on March 3. Students recited and signed the modern Nightingale Pledge as a commitment to uphold the standards of the nursing profession.

Nov. 30, 2022 — Delane Vaughn loved science and her biology teacher at Mulvane High School – Joe Johnson – started her on a path to Wichita State University as the first person in her family to attend college. She worked, raised a family and attended WSU and the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

Sept. 1, 2022 — A Wichita State University research team has received funding from the National Institutes of Health for their proposal, “Examining the feasibility of a wearable device for fetal heart rate monitoring through interdisciplinary research.”
