The Student Support Services Technology Lab is equipped with:

  • Ethernet Ports
  • Video Equipment
  • Headphones
  • Printer
  • Scanner

Students may use the computers to complete school work, and students are able to print out school-related material in the lab. Additionally, the lab contains a multitude of computer programs that are available for students to learn about and practice with. The lab also has a complete course of CDs to help Spanish language learners to develop their conversational Spanish skills.

Resources are available in the lab for financial literacy skill and learning and study skills development. For financial literacy skills development, students can complete a series of modules from the My College Money Plan website. Modules can be completed over a variety of topics ranging from repaying debt to learning to read a credit report. Additionally, students can develop learning and study skills in the SSS Technology Lab by completing numerous modules on topics such as time management, note-taking strategies, test-taking strategies, and many other related subject areas. These modules can be completed in the lab with the assistance of the SSS Technology Lab Assistant.

To further assist students with school work, SSS Technology Lab Assistant can provide students with homework assistance. For example, if a student needing help with an English paper, the Lab Assistant can provide him/her with advice to improve the paper. Also, the Lab Assistants can aid students with the use of math-related computer software. This software is available to strengthen the students' understanding of mathematical concepts.
