Travis Feeney

I’m Travis Feeney, and I’m excited to begin my new role as Assistant Director of the TRIO Student Support Services program at Wichita State University. With 30 years of experience in TRIO programs, I have dedicated my career to helping students achieve their educational goals, particularly first-generation and low-income students.

As a proud Wichita State University alumnus, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master of Public Administration from WSU. My connection to the university is also personal. As a first-generation, low-income student, I understand firsthand the challenges students may face as they navigate higher education. These experiences have shaped my passion for education, student advocacy, and helping students overcome barriers to success.

I’m proud to continue my journey at Wichita State by giving back to the university and community that helped shape my own path. I believe every student deserves the opportunity, support, and encouragement to reach their full potential. My goal is to help students recognize their strengths, navigate challenges, and connect with the resources they need to succeed. Most importantly, I want every student to know they belong at Wichita State, their goals are within reach, and they don’t have to navigate their college journey alone.
