The mission of the College of Fine Arts Advising Center is to enhance each student’s
academic and artistic experience by building strong relationships and providing resources,
academic support and tools needed to attain their educational and professional goals.
From the Office of Student Success, Stephanie Cockrell is the Academic Success Coach
for the College of Fine Arts.
Success Coaches provide students with academic support in areas such as time management,
procrastination, test preparation, note taking, reading strategies and accountability.
They are able to work individually with students, assess their strengths and needs
and develop a personalized plan of action. Students are welcome to stop by anytime
for assistance, however scheduling a meeting in advance is encouraged.
If you are required to complete a Success Plan, you should contact your Success Coach
to schedule an appointment as soon as you can.
For students who are completing their general education at a community college or
two-year school, WSU's College of Fine Arts Advising Team will work concurrently with
your academic advisors from other institutions to ensure the classes you take elsewhere
will transfer and go toward your degree completion at Wichita State.
