Emily Orr
The School of Performing Arts is excited and honored to announce that Emily Orr will
join us this fall as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre. With her diverse
background in music direction, musical theatre performance, vocal performance and
coaching, and professional experience across multiple industries, Emily will make
an important impact and enhance student experience across the School of Performing
Arts. As a visiting professor, Orr will teach several courses including Capstone,
Musical Theatre History, Auditions for Musical Theatre, and Vocal Coaching. In addition
to courses, Emily will mentor the musical theatre student group, Wichita State Music
Theatre Company, and co-facilitate the Musical Theatre Incubator Program. With her
expertise in musical direction, Emily will serve as musical director for the fall
musical, "A Chorus Line."
