Welcome to the Bachelor of Science in Health Management (BSHM) program in the College of Health Professions at Wichita State University. About the Bachelor of Science in Health Management

The BSHM program prepares students to plan, direct, and coordinate health services in a rapidly changing healthcare environment. Students develop skills in healthcare management, leadership, finance, operations, quality improvement, and community health. The program provides preparation for careers across healthcare organizations and serves as a strong foundation for graduate study in healthcare administration, public health, and related fields.

The College of Health Professions

The College of Health Professions (CHP) is recognized for excellence in health professions education, applied learning, community engagement, and partnerships with healthcare organizations throughout the region. CHP offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs that prepare students to address current and emerging healthcare challenges.
 

The Department of Public Health Sciences

The Department of Public Health Sciences (PHS) prepares students for careers and advanced study in areas including health management, public health, aging studies, exercise science, and senior living management. Through dedicated faculty, applied learning opportunities, and strong community partnerships, students gain the knowledge and experience needed for professional success.

Important: The Health Management program includes a practicum experience. Some practicum sites may require a background check, which requires a Social Security number.
