Overview

WSU's School of Education offers an Accelerated Bachelor's Degree to Master of Education in Learning and Instructional Design program is a pathway that links existing undergraduate education degree programs (BAED) with the MEd in Learning and Instructional Design. It Constitutes an integrated academic pathway with dual-credit structure that allows high-performing undergraduate students in Bachelor of Arts in Education (BAED) programs to begin graduate-level coursework during the final year(s) of their bachelor's degree.

Purpose     

Students that take advantage of this pathway recieve significant benefits:

  • Students can complete both degrees in a shorter overall timeframe by applying up to 9 graduate credits toward both degrees.
  • Accelerated completion of the MEd provides students with earlier access to advanced credentials, engancing their competitivemess in the job market and preparing them for the leadership roles.

Admission Requirements

  • Students must apply to the accelerated program through the Graduate School application process. This includes submission of:
    • Personal statement
    • Faculty Member Recommendation 
  • Students must have a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.000 to be eligible.
  • Graduate courses for dual credit must be approved by both the undergraduate and graduate program advisors.
  • A Dual Enrollment Form must be submitted at the time of registration for courses that will carry dual credit.
