Courtesy shows politeness, it costs nothing but pays well. ... we believe that courtesy is very important in life and is a must for everyone who desires to make progress in life.

Showing our members common courtesy, is one way to honor them, showing them how much they truly matter to us.
Courtesy Responsibilities
Our Courtesy Chair is responsible for the following upon notification:
- Get well cards shall be sent to any member who is ill or hospitalized.
- A baby card shall be sent to any member upon the birth or adoption of a baby.
- Sympathy cards shall be sent upon the death of a member, or the spouse and immediate family of a member.
- At the death of a member, $25 shall be donated to: Women of
Wichita State University Current Scholarship Fund. For any life members, these funds will be donated in the organization they were awarded life membership.
- Children’s books shall be purchased and placed in WSU’s Ablah Library in honor of
each of the following:
- the wife of each new University or female University President
- the out-going President of WWSU
- WSU staff or faculty who is a member of WWSU at her retirement

We love our members and would hate to accidentally miss any occassion where courtesy should be expressed!
Please notify the Courtesy Chair by emailing WWSU@wichita.edu of any such occasion in which a card should be sent to a member due to:
- illness or hospitalization
- birth or adoption of a baby
- or death of a member (or spouse of a member and immediate family)
Book Donations
Children’s books shall be purchased and placed in WSU’s Ablah Library in honor of

"On behalf of University Libraries, it is my pleasure to inform you that we have purchased and received an author signed book entitled, “What Sound is Morning,” by Grant Snider in honor of Donna Hughes’ retirement for the WSU Libraries. A book plate will be added to the book indicating that it was donated to the University Libraries by the Women of Wichita State University in her honor."
In Memoriam
